I wanted to share that this morning I observed at least 3 Golden Crowned
Kinglets feeding on the ground under my big firs. Later there were a bunch
of them in the tops of the firs.

I've seen them on the ground, but have also observed that when they are on
the ground they aren't as alert as birds that normally feed on the ground,
and are more susceptible to predators on the ground.
