Subject: [Tweeters] visiting birder seeking advice (again)

I'm glad to be back in WA again, especially since y'all have been finding
some good birds lately! My original flight here was cancelled so I missed my
opportunity to bird Monday afternoon. Now I will have only one free day
(Sunday 1/7) to do any birding so I'm hoping to optimize my time.

I'm thinking, considering my circumstances, that the Cedar River and/or
Point No Point are my best chances for finding multiple lifers that day.
I've already seen Black-headed Gull so of previously reported birds in this
area I am seeking Slaty-backed and Glaucous Gull, Long-billed Murrelet and
Thick-billed Murre. (I also "need" Gyrfalcon and King Eider, and are the
Emperor Goose and Whooper Swan "countable"???)

I'd like to get advice (and of course recent sightings) to help me plan for
Sunday. I am based in Bothell and will be happy to offer a ride to any
birders wishing to go to those areas. Thanks in advance,
