Subject: [Tweeters] RFI: Sooty Grouse in Winter

Hello All,

An acquaintance of mine is visiting WA at the end of the month and his
number one target is the Sooty Grouse. He will have a rental car and a
few days to get around but plans to spend his time mostly west of the
Cascade crest. I can't think of a good location that won't require
snowshoes this time of the year. I've seen them in winter at Paradise
(road closed this year due to weather damage) and along the road to
Hurricane Ridge, but I usually don't get into good Sooty Grouse habitat
during the winter. Anyone out there have good ideas?

Thanks much, Alan
