Hi Tweets,

Saturday at about 10:30 a.m. Martha Taylor, Barbara and I flushed a Red-naped Sapsucker from a conifer while looking for owls in Seattle's Discovery Park. The location is near the northeast end of the military housing, roughly a quarter-mile north of the South Parking Lot. The (male) sapsucker foraged in an adjacent deciduous tree for about a minute before flying off southwest into the military housing area.

Good birding!
