This morning during the Seattle Audubon Neighborhood Census, Penny
Rose and I had at least two Red Crossbills in about the same location
as the Common Redpoll seen last week. Just east of the wetlands on
the North Beach trail. Following that, on the way back toward the
lighthouse, we found a Common Redpoll (possibly the same bird from
last week) in with a flock of 8-9 American Goldfinches in the alders
surrounding the wetlands. This was about 10:45 am.
