Seeing the sun out this morning and clear skies I loaded up the camera gear
and went to Point Wilson. I'm glad I did the Alcids were flying in and out
of Admiralty Inlet close to the point (400-500 yds.) which allowed me to
get some fare images of them in good light.

Point Wilson, 0930-1130 hrs. wind 10-18 mph, clear sky until 1040 them
defused light until 1130 then cloudy. Swell 2-3 ft. high tide, temp. 43.

Glaucous-winged Gull 32, Glaucous Gull 8, Thayer's Gull 26, Mew Gull 3,
Double-crested Cormorant 6, Pelagic Cormorant 10, Sanderling 13, Horned
Grebe 2, Bufflehead 6, Surf Scoter 3, Harlequin Duck 5, Red-breasted
Merganser 4, Common Murre 67, Ancient Murrelet 14, Marbled Murrelet 6 and
Long-tailed Duck 1.

I have the best images to date of the three Alcids seen today, all on the
wing.
