Subject: [Tweeters] Yellow Variant of House Finch

I've seen a few at my feeder from time to time. I recall seeing more in
Bakersfield, CA where there seemed to be a 50/50 mix of the two types. I've
even seen some that appear orange as well. I recall reading here in
Tweeters the color variants have to do with the birds' diets.

This winter a frequent visitor to our feeder is a yellow variant house
finch. We are wondering how common this bird is to the Puget Sound
region?
