Hi Tweeters,
After three unsuccessful trips to find the Whooper Swan, we finally spotted
the swan today around 12:20 pm with a large flock of Trumpeter Swans in a
field east of the Pioneer Highway south of Conway and north of Milltown. There
were six of us who got good looks at the swan through scopes. Ron and I
also got to see the Townsend's Solitaire in the Skagit WMA near the entrance
to the west parking lot. Pine Grosbeaks and a Northern Shrike were also
spotted by other birders near the entrance to the Skagit WMA.
