I had been wondering why the Townsend's warbler was so nervous at the suet
feeder. Found out Sunday while coming onto the deck leading into the house
when coming home from church a sharp-shinned hawk went over my wife's head
chasing something that was too fast for me to identify. They were coming
from the direction of the feeders. It wasn't the Townsend's though, he's
still around. It takes him several minutes to get a bite of suet.
