Hi Tweeters,

This week so far has been fun birding at work. On
Monday I saw my first at work Townsend's Warbler. A
very dull patterned female, but she was pretty enough
for me. She was with a mixed flock that was heavy on
Golden-crowned Kinglets. The GC Kinglets don't come
through very often at work and they were fun to watch,
one of them came up with a decent sized grub from the
bark of a tree.

Today a swan flew over! Absolutely unexpected. Too
high up to id. Since it was so unexpected I was
trying to make into a (excuse my french) "bastard"
goose but nope it was a swan.

All of the above were near the Montlake bridge, along
the Montlake cut, behind the University of Washington
Medical Center.
