There have been some fast starts in the 4th Annual 2007 YardBirdRace:

Look at DENIS DE SILVIS?S ?acceleration percentage? after one week on a 10 acre yard in Roy, WA: With 45 species he?s at 50.5 % of his last year?s total list (89) after just one week.

JIM DANZENBAKER is at 44% in Battleground (43, 97) with Tundra Swans in six days.

ALAN HUGGINS is at 33% (25, 76) & here is a quick start: Alan picked up a yard-Barred Owl 20 minutes into the New Year.

BOBBY & CURT PEARSON are at 41% after 10 days (20-49) with a Peregrine flyover already.

But whether you?re off to a quick or a very slow start this year, everyone is hereby invited to enter the 2007 YardBirdRace!!!

The YardBirdRace has donated $1000 to the Save the Cerulean Warbler fund of the American Bird Conservancy in the name of various YardBirdRace winners. Bird Life International and American Bird Conservancy have also benefited, and Kaufman Bird Guides-prizes were sent out today, and Violet-green Swallow nest boxes prizes will be sent tomorrow.

Subscriptons to the fabulous Washington Birder magazine were chosen by many participants as a prize: WA Birder is donating these subs this year.
