Clarification: the directory is free to WOS members but there is expense to the organization to print and mail.

Sounds like there was a poor response to updating member information on the WOS website. There is still time to opt in or out for various levels of contact information that will go in the next update of the Membership Directory, due out sometime this spring. The directory goes to members only and is not sold or available otherwise. There may be an option of having a copy in hand quicker by e-mail attachment if that is your preference, and printing and mailing a 40 page directory is not free. The WOS website www.wos.org is worth checking to see what your membership status and preferences are, and leaving feedback. With the next issue of Washington Birds right around the corner don't be left out. The next WOS Conference (September in Aberdeen) is open to members only. All of these issues will be discussed at the next Board meeting on 1/20, and decisions will be based on information in hand at that time.
