Hello.

Around midday today (1/13) I saw a male Common Redpoll in a flock of
about 70 Pine Siskins feeding on red alder seeds at Salsbury Point
County Park, Kitsap Co., WA, on the Hood Canal.

There were also 3 Ancient Murrelets off the park, and we had seen
about 15 Ancients earlier in the day at Point No Point, along with
numbers of all four of the other common alcids.

At Point No Point I got a quick look at a Fox Sparrow that was very
likely a Red Fox Sparrow, looked very red in comparison with Sooty
Fox Sparrows seen earlier, but I didn't get to see all the field
marks to distinguish such a bird for certain. It was on the north
side of the road out to the point feeding at the little trailer
sitting out on an open lot. There were two Slate-colored Juncos and
two Mourning Doves there also with hordes of Oregon Juncos.
