This afternoon around 3 pm Elaine and I found two Snowy Owls south of Moses Lake near where Doug Schonewald had seen them individually. North and east of the intersection of Road 4 and Road L SE, one was perched on top of an irrigation circle near the pivot, while the other was next to the pivot on a green electrical box. They were quite visible in the aftenoon sun as the overnight dusting of snow was completely gone by late afternoon. This location is about 4 miles south of I-90 and west of SR 17.
