I just received a phone call from Patricia Lott. She is near Pateros along the Columbia River looking at several loons. She said that one looks very much like an Arctic Loon with much white on the flanks. She is along Starr Road south of Pateros (about 1/4 mile from SR97). They are near a rusted gate with farm machinery around and a small house with red trim.

Because of weather conditions she needs to start back toward the west side, but requests that anyone in the area who would like to check the bird out give it a try. She specifically mentioned Rick Hendricks (sp??) who they met with the Sullivans the other day, and who is relatively nearby might be interested. If anyone knows how to contact him could do so that would be good.
