OK, I've got one for you that I'm not sure I'd believe if I hadn't seen it myself.

This afternoon at the Two Rivers Park boat launch I saw an adult Red-tailed Hawk snatch an American Coot off the surface of the Columbia River near the boat dock.
It was slick. Coot never saw it coming. Red-tail never got a feather wet. It was amazing.
