Subject: [Tweeters] Eagles in Gorst

I stopped on my drive through Gorst (between Bremerton and Port Orchard)
this morning at 11:30 and saw 11 eagles either on the mud flats or in
the nearby trees. 1 was in the usual snag behind the Subaru dealer, 5
were in a deciduous tree about 100 yards to the east of the snag, and 2
were on the mud. The others birds were seen over the water but if one
flew into the fir trees it became VERY difficult to see. Because of
this I suspect there may have been additional birds in the area. 3 of
these birds were adults. The rest were 1st through 3rd year. This is
the most eagles I've seen in Gorst at any one time.

The best place to see these birds is behind the "girly" tavern (topless
joint) which is immediately south of the northern most of the two
overpasses.
