Hi Patricia,

If you go from Orillia from I-5, then turn right,
(south) on 64th Ave S you will go past a nice motel on
the right, then the animal shelter. The hawk has been
seen near the animal shelter. I saw it a short ways
down near the sign that says Green River Natural
Resources Area, also on the right. There is space for
about two cars there. You will know you are in the
right place if you see Web Press Corporation across
the street. I do not know the address. The total
mileage is less than a mile. There is a short path to
a rise overlooking Kent Ponds. I saw the hawk off a
path that goes a short ways south overlooking the SE
corner of the pond.

It has been a tough bird to find. It took me more
than one try. Good luck and conrats on the
Sharp-tailed Grouse. I think you are having a good
start for a big year:)

PS If you go on Sunday and have a radio tune it to
11/22, the Kent Ponds Census Teams will likely be
using radios to tell each other about cool birds.
