Yesterday I saw the Douglas female, who has been hanging in the front yard, pop her head out of the old bird house.
This is the same house that I had a Flying Squirrel nest in several years ago.
This is also the same house the Pileated uses to hammer on.
Some time soon she will have a very rude awakening.
I also guess it is worth the trouble of chasing the House Sparrows out of it all summer.
