Hi Dennis and all

I'd suggest contacting Bob Bokelheide (bboek at olympus.net), he probably has the best handle on Sooties this time of year on the Olympic Peninsula.

Hello, tweets.

A birder from New York has written and asked me if I know where he can find Sooty Grouse at this time of year. I don't. I suggested the road to Hurricane Ridge as the most likely place, but I have no idea if you can see them along there in the winter.

He has seen the eastern WA Dusky Grouse, he just wants/needs/desires/lusts for the Sooty.

If anyone has any knowledge that I can pass on to him, please let me know, and thanks!

Dennis
