In a similar note, but one with a grisly outcome, I recall once at Fort Stewart, Georgia when a Gray Fox was placed in a refrigerator after it was presumed dead. (Trapping for rabies survey). When, later on, the freezer was opened, the now really dead fox was found to be curled up with its nose shielded by its tail. That wasn't the position it was tossed in there!
