Birds reported: Thick-billed Murre, Whooper Swan, Pine Grosbeaks, Swamp
Sparrow, and Slaty-backed Gull.

January 20, 2007, 7:38 pm; Rachel Lawson, 206 282 5593, reports that the
THICK-BILLED MURRE was seen again at Point No Point at about 8:30 a.m. and
was still there at 10 a.m.

January 20, 8:03 p.m.; Rachel Lawson, System Administrator, reports for
MaryFrances Mathis that MaryFrances saw the WHOOPER SWAN on Skagit City Road
behind the church just after you cross the bridge onto Fir Island; she also
saw a flock of 10 PINE GROSBEAKS at the Game Range.

January 21, 2007, 10:19 a.m.; Scott Atkinson reports that the WHOOPER SWAN
is still on Fir Island; it's just west of Fir Church, which you see as you
leave Conway going west on Fir Island Road over the Skagit River Bridge,
church on the right; the bird was on the opposite side of the road, west and
right off the main road; access is difficult; the bird is in a small group
of other swans.

January 21, 2007, 12:46 pm; Michael Fleming, 206 297 3234, reports that he
and Michael Duport relocated the WHOOPER SWAN at about noon just north of
the church in Conway on the Skagit City Road; also at the WMA they had a
SWAMP SPARROW at the boat launch parking lot.

January 21, 2007, 6:08 p.m.; Rachel Lawson, 206 282 5593, saw the
SLATY-BACKED GULL at the mouth of the Cedar River this afternoon around 4
p.m. and it was still there as it was starting to get dark; Wayne Weber
mentioned to Rachel that the THICK-BILLED MURRE was not seen this morning at
Point No Point.
