Hi Tweets -
Today [1/21] up in Blaine Whatcom Co, the KING EIDER was present
early on the southwestern floating dock on the Semiahmoo Spit.

Before that, at 8:00, I was granted great looks at the SNOWY OWL
reported by Houston Flores yesterday. It was hanging out in the
marina across the water from the spit [accessed from I-5 at exit 276
onto Marine View Drive. [I tried to see if the Snowy was visible from
a distance -- I couldn't see it from Semiahmoo, but could see it from
the drive along the east edge of Drayton Harbor].

Long-tailed Ducks in close, all three scoters, Common, Red-throated &
Pacific Loons in good numbers all added to a nice morning around
Blaine.

Good birding,
