Good morning Tweeters,
I had a suprise visitor to my pond yesterday, a great blue heron. He was here for about an hour staring motionless from the fence down into the pond. Fortunately, all my goldfish are still hybernating. He has visited here before, but I never caught him on camera until yesterday. The pictures turned out great!! I have no site to upload them to for on-line viewing, but if anyone is interested I can send them through email.
Other garden birds included juncos, starlings, robins, house finch, Northern flickers, both kinds of chickadees, bushtits, the beautiful Townsend warbler and yellow-rumped warbler. What an exciting day I had just staying home to watch birds.
