For you knowledgeable listers out there I have the following question. I was wondering if you're birding in an area where a species was extirpated, can you count it on your list if the species is now re-established in this historically found area? The area where it was again found was an area where habitat was created. However, no captive-breeding was involved. The birds were merely relocated from a nearby area and they have had successful broods for the past 2 years. This is different from the captive-breeding and release of California condors and aplomado falcons, so I was wondering if the bird is countable under these circumstances. Thanks for any replies.
