Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday January 25. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The SUMMER TANAGER near Alvadore is now being regularly seen, but will not
allow a close approach. The FALCATED DUCK has remained at the Gainsborough
Homes Subdivision in Eugene.

On January 24 a GRAY JAY was a bit south of its regular range near Edison
Butte southeast of Langlois. Up to 25 SNOW BUNTINGS are now being seen along
Clatsop Beach north of Gearhart. The EMPEROR GOOSE continues to be seen near
the Astoria Airport. On January 21, 28 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were at
Brownsmead and 45 CINNAMON TEAL were on Svenson Island.

On January 22 a EURASIAN TEAL was on the pond next to the Scappoose Sewage
Ponds. Eight EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES were along Dike Road in Scappoose
Bottoms January 21. That day a BLACK PHOEBE was on Sauvie Island. There are
now up to 2300 SNOW GEESE in the Sauvie Island area. On January 23 a
TOWNSEND?S SOLITAIRE was in southwest Portland. A HERMIT WARBLER and a
TOWNSEND?S/HERMIT WARBLER hybrid is now being seen in Beaverton. On January
22 a HERMIT WARBLER was in McMinnville. The Rockie Drive/Beavercreek Road
GREAT GRAY OWL continues to be seen. A female CASSIN?S FINCH and three TREE
SWALLOWS were seen near Eugene January 18.

On January 21 two AFRICAN COLLARED-DOVES (Turtle-Doves) and 14 EURASIAN
COLLARED-DOVES were near Madras. A GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE was seen January 22
in the 1st St. Rapids Park in Bend. On January 21 a SNOW BUNTING was east of
Hart Mountain.
