Hello All,
We birded our way home on the 24th and saw the following species of
interest.....
Kittitas Co.
Northern Pygmy-Owl.....one bird along Nelson Siding Rd., near Cle Elem.
Am. Dipper......................one bird on the Yakima River along the
Yakima River Canyon Rd. above the dam three miles.

Yakima Co.

Golden-crowned Sparrow.....30+ birds along the Alfalfa Grange Rd. ( which is
just west of the north end of Plank Rd.) south to the fish gates and on
along the stream to the southwest. We had no idea that this species wintered
in these numbers in this county. They were always in company with adult and
sub-adult White-crowned Sparrows.

Coopers Hawk.....1 large female along the Alfalfa Grange Rd.

Bewicks Wren........1 bird along gated road off to the southwest of the fish
gates along Alfalfa Grange Rd.

Sharp-shinned Hawk......1 female along upper Plank Rd.

Peregrine Falcon............1 adult along Plank Rd.

Savannah Sparrow..........3 birds along Newquiest Rd.

That is it.
