Ben (and other visiting birders),

I would strongly recommend purchasing "A Birder's Guide to
Metropolitan Areas of North America", edited by Paul Lehman and
published by the American Birding Association. This book has a 16-page
section on birding in the Seattle area, and it also has chapters on
32 other large cities in the U.S. and Canada. You will find it very useful
in all the major metropolitan area of North America.

Hello Tweeters,

My wife and i will be visiting Seattle on the the 30th of January and
staying until that Saturday. We will be within walking distance of Pike's
Place, and we will also have acccess to the bus system. Having never birded
seattle before, let alone the west coast, i was wondering what areas you
might recommend us heading to. We are interested in quite a variety of
species. Thanks again for all your information. We're looking forward to
seeing the city, as well as the birds! Please e-mail me with your
responses. Thanks again.
