Tweets,
The Slaty-backed gull was not at the mouth of the
Cedar this evening, it was across the way at Gene
Coulon Park. With the prevailing wind (heading
south), the Cedar Mouth was rather windy and cold, but
the park was MUCH calmer. So the gulls all gathered
at the park. I manageed to locate the SB Gull along
the log booms at the north end of the park.
Of course, I had to scan thru about 1500 gulls, but
that's part of the fun, right? At least I keep
telling myself that ;)
Note : When driving from the mouth of the Cedar to get
over to Coulon park, Park Street is closed north of
6th. Just follow the detour signs east along sixth,
it will take you past Frye's. Go straight across the
next light, turning right will take you to I-405.
Straight across there will take you to Coulon. With
all the con/destruction at Boeing, it is messy getting
around over there!
Good Birding!
