Waterbirds have increased a bit in Juanita Bay, and today they included 2
male Redheads. A couple turtles were out in the mud enjoying the sun.

Pied-billed Grebe (42)
Horned Grebe (4)
Western Grebe (65)
Double-crested Cormorant (35)
Wood Duck (2)
American Wigeon (76)
Gadwall (20)
Green-winged Teal (24)
Mallard (8)
Northern Pintail (1)
Canvasback (18)
Redhead (2)
Ring-necked Duck (6)
scaup sp (350+ mainly Greater, definitely an undercount)
Common Goldeneye (25)
Bufflehead (20)
Common Merganser (5)
American Coot (only 600+, not too many here this winter)

In my backyard this morning I was happy to see a Red-breasted Sapsucker and
a Townsend's Warbler. This past Wednesday there was a Northern Pygmy-Owl
along the Wilderness Creek Trail at Cougar Mountain in Issaquah.
