Tweets,
I spent the weekend casually birding around Tacoma and
Pierce County. A few birds of note:

Today (sunday) I found a juvenile Snow Goose and 2
Greater-white front Geese in Fife, on Hwy 509 in the
Tideflats, between Alexander and Taylor roads. They
were with a large flock of Candada Geese to the south
of the east-bound lanes, in a recently chewed-up field
just east of Alexander Rd.

Saw at least 3 Black Turnstones along Marine View
Drive, on the floating logs. And an Anna's
Hummingbird coming to a feeder there.

On saturday there was a nice assortment of birds on
Waughop Lake in Lakewood : about 20 Canvasback, Nice
flock of N. Shovelors doing 'Circles', Common and
Hooded Mergansers. And a flyover of several flocks of
Cackling and Canada Geese in the evening.

Nice casual couple of days of birding.
