Hi Tweets,

After Marissa Benavente and I twitched the Rusty Blackbirds today we birded the
Carnation Farms area. In the huge grassy fields below the farm we checked
the Canada Geese flock. There are several hundred honkers there and among
them we spotted one immature SNOW GOOSE, several CACKLING GEESE
and around twenty GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE. Seeing all four in
the scope at once was pretty cool.

We also saw a NORTHERN HARRIER (becoming more local in King County,
I think) and a flock of about forty WESTERN MEADOWLARKS in a tree just
south of the Carnation Marsh (near the abandoned van).

Good birding,
