As pointed out last year -
- Bob's body and bill size and primary projection length are within the
known range of Glaucous breeding in Alaska (Grant etc)
- Bob's eye diameter vs. bill length & width ratios are extreme for nominate
Iceland
- Bob's skull is more elongated (Glaucous) rather than rounded (Iceland)
- Bob's eye position in the face and (subjective) fierce appearance do not
fit nominate Iceland but are standard for Glaucous
- Bob's legs appear the same thickness as nearby Glaucous-winged, if not
thicker than some, apparently (in photos at least) outside the range of
nominate Iceland
Bob is almost certainly a small Glaucous.
