Hello Tweets,

We have just updated our website with many more photos from the Rusty Blackbird(s)near Carnation taken yesterday. The photos are all of an apparent female Rusty Blackbird atop a rooftop, which offered the best views for all the birders. We were quite confused to the exact sex of all the 3 Rusty Blackbirds, but feel we figured it out. We also saw the immature male Rusty Blackbird yesterday,as it foraged on the ground as the previous day amongst other blackbirds,Starlings, and House Sparrows. We also corrected a photo of the immature Rusty Blackbird taken on the 27th of January after Dennis Paulson kindly corrected us in a private message. After looking at Marv Breece's photos of the same bird convinced us that it is also an immature male and NOT a female as we originally indicated the bird to be. After looking at one of Marv's photos of the female Rusty Blackbird we wonder to some extent if there could be 2 different female birds. These thoughts come by the bird in Marv's photo showing much paler upperparts than the bird we photographed,or perhaps this was a result of different lighting. Anyhow,we hope we have our photos labeled correctly now.
