To continue with the subject of where to point/not point your scope or camera, March Point ( east of Anacortes, Fidalgo Bay) is also "off limits" in the eyes of private security gestapo. I do not believe the road is private, but you may get a warning by security if you want to look at the oil refineries!

This reminds me of a lecture I heard at a SAS meeting many, many years ago. The lecture was given by a married couple who are quite famous for photographing hummingbirds ( forget their names). They had set up their equipment (tripods, strobes, etc.) near some pot fields (in either one of the Caribbean islands or northern South America; can not remember all the details), only to be visited by some armed guards of these fields.

So be careful out there!!!!!!
