temp. 43
Brant 10, Harlequin Duck 13, Surf Scoter 7, White-winged Scoter 4,
Long-tailed Duck 3, Bufflehead 5, Common Goldeneye 1, Red-breasted Merganser
14, Red-throated Loon 3, Pacific Loon 8, Common Loon 4, Yellow-billed Loon
2*, Horned Grebe 1. Brandt's Cormorant 1, Double-crested Cormorant 4,
Pelagic Cormorant 11, Sanderling 16, Mew Gull 6, Glaucous-winged 4,
Glaucous-winged Gull hybrid 16, Common Murre 86, Ancient Murrelet 45,
Marbled Murrelet 25 and Song Sparrow 1.
I saw the Gray Whale at 0908 mid channel swimming W.N.W. out of Admiralty
Inlet for about 10 minutes. I have one image on my flickr page of the
whale's fluke with markings but the image is small as the whale was in mid
channel.
