Hello,

My name is Tami Asars, and I am the Outreach Specialist for the Tukwila
REI store. We are doing a stewardship service project with Heron's
Forever as a way of trying to help clean up the habitat for these
magnificent birds. We need volunteers!

Project Information: Come join the Southcenter REI store in
an effort to help restore and preserve the largest heron colony in the
tri-county region, and one of the largest in Washington State. With
over 125-135 active nests, these beautiful birds need our help to clean
up their habitat. On March 24th, we will be working with the
non-profit, Herons Forever, on invasive plant removal and other outdoor
projects.



General Information: Participants should be prepared to commit
to the noted times and should be prepared to get dirty and have fun!
Please wear long pants (no shorts, please), sturdy shoes, work gloves
and be prepared for any weather. Also, bring a sack lunch and plenty of
water! Shovels & loppers would also be helpful.
