The following interesting birds have been reported in Spokane County
recently.

A GYRFALCON was north of Spokane Jan 23, but not since. Let me know if you
want directions. I worry about lurking falconers.

A SCRUB-JAY was reported in the Spokane Valley, but it turned out to be a
BLUE JAY. Still a good bird. It is along the Spokane River near the
Argonne Bridge. I've not seen "my" Cheney Blue Jays for awhile.

A SNOW BUNTING was in the Wild Rose Prairie Jan 26. They are surprisingly
hard to find in Spokane Co. South of Deer Park, from hwy 395, turn west on
Monroe, then take Ridgeway, then turn right on Spotted Road. Go 1/2 mile to
the bunting spot.

Good Birding,
