Thanks to all the Tweets who have responded with information that: 1)
there are some turkeys in Western Washington, and 2) it could have
been an early Turkey Vulture... "a vanguard vulture." For the person
who thought it might have been a pheasant... nope, my sister might
not be a birder, but she knows what a pheasant is.

Meanwhile, I happened on a website that mentioned a bunch of turkeys
(over 100) that invaded Sacramento today. If you want to see the
