Hi Tweeters,

This weekend I managed to get photos of two birds I have been
chasing: Western Screech-Owl and Slate-colored Fox Sparrow.

One of the employees at Fort Simcoe told Richard Repp a Western
Screech-Owl was roosting in the barracks building at the south side
of the fort lawn. I went there Friday afternoon and managed some
photos of it. It appears to have been roosting there for some time
due to whitewash being on all four corner posts in the
building. There have been no pellets, though.

Yesterday morning I went to White Pass and wandered around the
campground for a couple of hours. Highlights include a Red-breasted
Sapsucker and a very obligizing Slate-colored Fox Sparrow. The Fox
Sparrow sang from the top of a short snag for nearly ten minutes
while I got photos.

These and other recent photos are in the new photos folder on my website.
