Hello tweeties,

I didn't work on Birds in the News this week because
my site traffic was so low -- probably everyone is at
the beach this week instead of reading blogs. BITN
will be back next week, though.

Anyway, I did write a few birdy stories that you might
enjoy. The first story is about a collaboration
between paleontologists and an aeronautical engineer
that used flight simulation software to determine how
the world's largest bird, Argentavis magnificens,
managed to fly;

The other story is about the recent discovery and
recovery of an intact Dodo skeleton from a cave on the
island of Mauritius;
