Subject: [Tweeters] Whimbrels at Tillamook Oregon

Hi Tweets,

I spent a couple of days on the north Oregon coast, primarily after
the Wrentit. I found it on Bayocean Spit at Tillamook in the dense
Scotch broom with mixed coastal spruce and pine. I then walked the
rest of the way to the outer beach where I encountered seven
Whimbrels feeding at the water's edge and then flying south. Guess
the post-nesting migration has indeed begun. This was on Monday,
July 2nd.
