I have some upcoming nature programs I'm offering through the Seattle Parks
Department that some of you might be interested in and a couple of
cancellations. I know it may be a bit short notice for this weekend for
some.

First the cancellations:
this Friday evening July 6th there was an evening nature tour hayride and a
bat hayride at Seward Park, but there is a problem with the trailer and
these programs have been cancelled.

Upcoming programs:
This Saturday at Camp Long:

Sat Jul 7 11:00 am - 1 pm -Camp Long - Netting in the Pond and beyond-
With dip nets we?ll catch and examine swimming salamanders, Dragons and
Damsels, in the pond and with air nets their flying forms beyond the pond -
all age $8 adult $6 kid

Sat Jul 7 - 2:00 - 4:00 Camp Long - Salamanders, Swallowtails and Slugs in
and around the forest - We?ll look under logs and sweep through the air with
air nets from sunnier edges and openings to the deeper darker woods. - all
age $8 adult $6 kid

Sat Jul 7 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm - Camp Long Owls - There will be a short
indoor presentation on owls with mounted specimens of 5 species then we'll
take a walk through the woods to hoot for and look for owls. - all age $8
adult $6 kid
