Hello,
A couple weeks ago I may or may not have posted about the Pileated Woodpeckers at my Satsop River property. They were back this last saturday, possibly a nest nearby. I also found a Hairy Woodpecker in the middle of the new clearcut. It was looking for something to eat in the stumps and downed trees.
This morning was another Pileated at Titlow Park here in Tacoma. He was by the gate leading to the TOA lodge.
Yesterday their was what I'm guessing was a Coopers Hawk down on Ruston Way taking a half hearted dive at a Pigeon.
Just coming back from the air show I saw a Nighthawk flying over the grassy area at about 37th and Stevens where all the airshow/fireworks spectators are parked. Almost saw a fight breakout over a parking spot.
