Point Wilson 7-6-07 Time 17:00-19:00, clear, wind 18 kph, tide high
incoming, temp 23 degrees c.

Glaucous-winged Gull hybrid 63, Heermann's Gull 1, I have seen this bird for
the past three days feeding to the east of the Light House. This gull is
still in its breeding plumage and is quite striking. I have some images of
this bird on my flickr page.

Rhinoceros Auklet 246, Pigeon Guillemot 3, Marbled Murrelet 3, a single
Marbled Murrelet chick drifted by the point, where did it come from? Pelagic
Cormorant 2, Red-throated Loon 1,

There have been huge schools of bait fish close to shore with many birds
working them. The Rhinoceros Auklets are anywhere from 15 meters to 30
meters off shore with their mouths full of what looks like Sand Lance, then
flying to the west to their nest sites.
