Hello all,
We and John Gatchet stopped briefly at Sprague sewage ponds this last
Saturday and had the following:
Bonaparte's Gull - 5 birds - county first for us
Wilson's Phalarope - 9 birds
Red-necked Phalarope - 1 bird
Greater Yellowlegs - 3
Lesser Yellowlegs - 2
Western Sandpiper - 3 birds
Least Sandpiper - 1 bird
Spotted Sandpiper - 2
Killdeer - 3
Hooded Merganser - 1 female - county first for us
Bufflehead - 3 females
Ruddy Ducks
Lesser Scaup - 2
Ring-necked Duck - 9 birds
Green-winged Teal - 1 male
Turkey Vulture - 5 over ponds
Ring-billed Gull
California Gull
Sage Thrasher - singing to the west
A great place to check anytime of year!!
