Braved the afternoon heat for a while yesterday. Went to a section of of the
Pack Forest with ponds and a damp and meadowed broadleaf woods. I could hear
Swainson's Thrush, Yellow Warblers and Common Yellowthroat all over but
could only catch glimpses. Also a glimpse of what looked like a Red-naped
Sapsucker. Mostly I chased dragonflies.
After that I went down to a section of the Mashell River and found a Spotted
Sandpiper and an American Dipper both of which allowed photos.
And now the MOTH. I got a picture of a moth that is similar to what I find
in the guidebook as a forester type moth but the markings are different than
anything I can find. If someone could identify it for me, I would appreciate
it.
