The tray and feeding tube committee? Who are these "experts" associated
with? Where is this meeting going to be held? Is anyone from Cornell going to be
there?

WDFD put out this recommendation and they should not have done that.
WDFW are not the experts on feeders, Cornell is the authority. They say it's
not the feeders it is the roosting locations.

Some at WDFW have said they agree with Cornell but it's simpler to tell the
public to take down their feeders because a few are going nuts over a small
number of sick birds.

Keeping our feeders clean and watching for any sick birds is more
responsible!

We have kept our feeders up and clean. We have watched carefully for any
sick birds and have not seen one.
We have been feeding birds for over 25 years. We care about the birds but we
can't follow them around to all their roosting places and clean those areas
up. We can keep our yard and feeders clean and food available.

I continue to tell people to use common sense. Our friends that own one of
the Wild Birds Unlimited seed stores is doing the same and asking people to
please go to Cornell's site for responsible information.

If we don't feed them and they are foraging in the wild, in places where
they roost then they are more likely to get sick than if they are feeding in our
yards where we can keep feeders and surrounding areas clean.

I hope more people put their feeders back up!
