Tweets,
Monday I spent 3 pleasant hours birding mainly woodland areas east and north
of Tenino. Most species were quite active, 66 for the morning. Highlights
included:
- Y-b Chat on Vantine that Bob Sundstrom's been hearing most of season
- 8 warbler and 5 woodpecker species
- Cassin's and Red-e Vireo
- Movement or gathering of 20-30 Steller's Jays on Vantine Rd
- 2 Gray Jays at chat site (just to add some audio confusion)
- C Bushtit nest with parents feeding babies plus a medium-size flock (~10
birds) in and around the same bush. Would this be two broods from the same
parents/nest?
- N Pygmy Owl giving only one toot at a time, 2 or 3x, and seemingly
non-responsive to my imitation
Good birding!
