I spent a fair amount of time yesterday researching
and writing an article about the birds that live or
breed in the "exclusion zone" surrounding the
Chernobyl nuclear reactor disaster area. I ended up
reading three very interesting scientific papers (all
of which are linked under "sources" and two of which
are free PDFs) along with countless news stories and
press releases as I put this piece together for you;

illustrates that different species adapt (or not) the
